Interior and exterior valeting from my indoor studio in Tattenhall, near Chester, for new customers, uncoated cars and cars I’ve never worked on. Already a regular, or had your car coated with me? See Maintenance Care Valeting.
Maintenance Care Valeting
A one-off visit for a car that’s in fair shape: a wash, a decontamination and a spray sealant top-up. If it’s had paint correction or ceramic protection elsewhere, I’ll look after that too.
It’s a good place to start if you’ve never been to me before.
For cars that are already fairly well kept.
If it needs more than that, the Refresh Detail or Full Reset Detail below will suit it better.
Refresh Detail
For a car that’s slipped a bit but doesn’t need a full reset. A wash, a decontamination, an interior vacuum and wipe-down, and a spray sealant to bring it back up.
A step up from a one-off valet, without the deep clean of a Full Reset Detail.
I’ll look at the car first and tell you honestly if a Refresh is enough.
Machine polishing and paint correction aren’t included.

Full Reset Detail
For a car that needs a proper deep clean inside and out, having gone well past a normal valet.
I’ll deep clean the seats, carpets, mats, boot, trim and exterior as needed, so it’s back to a good standard.
I’ll confirm the exact scope once I’ve seen the car.
Machine polishing and paint correction aren’t included, and I can’t promise every stain or smell will come out.
Severe mould, bodily fluids, heavy pet hair or work that needs the interior taking apart is priced separately.
Odour treatment can be added if it’s needed.
If I've never worked on your car, start with Maintenance Care Valeting, a Refresh Detail or a Full Reset Detail, depending on how it looks. Every valet is done by appointment at my indoor studio in Tattenhall.
Tell me about your car and its condition. I may ask for a few photos before I confirm the service and the price.
These are from prices. The final price depends on the time it takes and the condition of the car, and I’ll confirm it before I start.
Motorbikes, motorhomes and boats are priced after a free, no-obligation assessment.

Car valeting FAQs
Is valeting only for existing customers?
Not always. Some new clients are a good fit if the vehicle is already in the right condition, or can first be brought back to the right baseline.
What if the car needs more than a valet?
Where condition has moved beyond what a regular valet can maintain, a Full Reset Detail or a corrective route may be recommended first.
How often should a valet be booked?
That depends on use, storage and the standard you want to keep, but on a plan I’ll see it every 4 to 6 weeks, and at least once every change of season, so it never slips too far. I’ll suggest the right timing once I’ve seen how the car is used.
Does a valet replace correction or protection?
No. A valet preserves good condition. Where correction, preparation or protection is needed first, that should be addressed before ongoing upkeep becomes the right route.
Why does pricing vary?
Because time, preparation and scope vary with vehicle size, condition and previous history.
What's the difference between valeting and detailing?
Valeting is cleaning, and detailing goes into the paint itself. A valet cleans the car inside and out so it looks and feels right. Detailing means paint correction, where I machine polish out swirls and scratches, and ceramic protection. Here, Maintenance Care Valeting, the Refresh Detail and the Full Reset Detail are the valeting side, and paint correction and ceramic are the detailing side.
Do I need a valet or a detail?
If the paint looks good and the car just needs a proper clean, you need a valet. If you can see swirls, haze or dull paint even when it’s clean, or you want it protected, you need a detail. Not sure? Send me a few photos and I’ll take a look first, with a free, no-obligation assessment.
Is a full valet the same as a Full Reset Detail?
Roughly, yes. It’s the deep clean inside and out, covering seats, carpets, mats, boot, trim and the exterior. Odour treatment can be added if it’s needed. It doesn’t include machine polishing. It’s from £300, and I confirm the exact scope before you book.
Can you valet a car after it's been ceramic coated?
Yes. Regular valeting with the right products is how a coated car is kept looking right. If I’ve coated your car, my Maintenance Care Valeting plans are made for it. I use safe washing methods that look after the coating.
