How does drop-off work?
I’ll agree a day and time with you when you book. As it’s a longer drive, it’s worth planning the day around it, and I’m happy to work round what suits you.
What do the trees and leaves do to paint?
Prestbury’s leafy streets look lovely, but a car parked outside under trees gets sap and pollen in spring and summer and a lot of leaves in autumn. Wet leaves sitting on the paint can stain it, so it’s worth clearing them off rather than letting them build up.
What about bird droppings?
They’re acidic and can etch into the clear coat if they’re left in the sun, so wipe them off gently when you see them. If they’ve already left marks, a machine polish can often take them out.
And the lanes round the village?
The country lanes out of Prestbury carry farm traffic, so mud and grit get thrown up the sides of the car. Wiping that off dry leaves fine scratches.
Does winter make a difference?
Yes. Gritted roads leave salt spray on the lower panels, arches and wheels. Salt left on for weeks dulls the finish, so get it properly cleaned off.
